You're Invited to Community Connections on May 17, 2011
Good food
         Good people
                           Good conversations

What's this all about?
Have you noticed how it's far too easy to be isolated even in a crowd?  Despite being more technologically connected than ever with cell phonestweets, emails and status updates, most of us have very few true connections with neighbors and what's happening in the community.
Solution:  Get connected!  That's the simple point of an upcoming community meal on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:30 PM at Cedar Hills Baptist Church.  We are inviting all Cedar Hills residents - in homes and apartments - along with leaders from local schools, the Rec Center, and businesses, to come and enjoy 90 minutes of good food, good people, and good conversations.
  • The main dish (a variety of fresh hot soups and delicious breads) will be provided, as well as beverages.
  • If you wish, bring a salad or dessert to share.
  • We'll even have a prize drawing too!
The agenda is simple:  Hear what's going on this Spring and Summer in the community (free meal programs, classes, and other opportunities) and discuss common concerns, challenges and resources in our community.  You might even find a job lead or discover that volunteer opportunity you've been looking for.  Childcare will be provided (you must RSVP for childcare).  There's no hidden agenda or political cause.  We just want to help build an even healthier community.  And it's all free.

Just complete the quick RSVP survey here to tell us how many people are in your family/group and whether you need childcare.  Include your name(s) and contact info if you wish.  Or just call 503.646.7126 and let us know you'll attend.
