The Day of Action is This Sunday!
April 3, 2016

Sunday morning begin at 8:15 with a brief worship and communion time at Westside United Methodist, then our Projects start at 9 AM (see maps below).

What Can I Do?  (see maps below for locations)
  • For those with physical limits:  Meet at CHBC at 9 AM.  Bring pre-baked cookies and brownies and help package them for delivery to local Police and fire stations, and other local establishments.  Also, delivery flowers to our neighbors.
  • Gardeners and outdoor-lovers: Meet at Meadow Park Middle School at 9 AM for cleanup, weeding, planting.
  • For those who enjoy light construction OR Cleaning:  Meet at the Migrant Labor Camp in Hillsboro.  We'll do a variety of repairs and major cleaning of run-down trailers where seasonal workers will live this Spring and Summer.
  • 8:15-8:45 Brief worship at Westside United Methodist
  • 9 - noon or 1 PM - Service projects
  • 12 PM - lunch at Meadow Park school; 1 PM Lunch at Migrant Camp

Needs (label your stuff so it gets returned to you):
  • Flowers!!! Bring starter packs of flowers to CHBC to give to neighbors and for planting at Meadow Park.  Drop them by the back door at church, or bring them on Sunday morning. This is a BIG need!
  • Cookies & Brownies - several folks have signed up for this, but we can always use more. Bring to CHBC
  • Tools - bring garden tools to Meadow Park; bring carpentry tools (hammers, circular saws, etc) to the Migrant camp.
  • Wagons - Bring to CHBC to use for delivery of flowers to our neighbors.
